Yes, Hinder is a redshirt junior. IIRC, he has never taken a snap in a game, but we may be hearing his name a lot more often in the near future, if I am reading these early tea leaves correctly.

Wow, what perserverance, to stick it out in a program for over three years, w/o ever getting any playing time, and just keep plugging away. I mean, players do that all the time, but Hinder came in as a "name" recruit (Elite Eleven, blah, blah, blah), then he gets buried, now he's being uncovered.

im sure it will become more and more apparent and someone will separate themselves. everyone including myself is just excited for some close to actual football to start.

Is it really that silly considering the staff has gone on record saying that they could pick a starting QB in the first 3 days of practice?

whenever it happens,
if the selection is based upon a BI poll
or Sonny talks about posts on BI that influenced the decision,
I will print out my post and eat it.

ive read enough from people reporting and it is obvious who throws the best ball. its kline. now it doesnt necessarily mean he will or wont be starting. the coaches will figure out who the best player to start is for the team. there are other things such has how a player handles the huddle and leadership that can determine who starts. i think your criticism of my post is a bit unjust and overconclusive yourself. just because someone hasnt played ball doesnt mean you cant spot a lasered football that is thrown. frankly someone who has never watched football could. in fact some of our coaches probably havent played football.

Those of us who went to the practice are just reporting back what we saw and our opinions. No one is under any illusion that Dykes and Franklin will not start who they think is best.

Joe Starkey is going to need major help with a cheat sheet to help keep track of all the guys flying in and out. A LOT of players will see playing time on the field and Joe will have great fun trying to keep up with all of the #'s and names. And with the double-numbering system in use ... I'm sure we'll hear some defensive guys playing on offense and vice versa...
