as short yardage QB per one of SD's comments to the media. SD does like to take advantage of different player's strengths. I assume Boehm is a good runner. Can't imagine this happening under the prior regime.

I understand all that...even know they have separate categories for the 2 different styles....when Boehm was recruited, JT was still a pro style guy IMO even though he was mixing in a lot of different styles altogether.....I only said he was ranked #7 and considering there are over 120 Div 1 teams, that still is a decent ranking.....#17 is not bad considering the number of good teams around the country....

I agree it's a decent ranking, but it's nowhere near a "can't miss" prospect.
Now Zach Kline, he's ranked #4 QB by scout, and a 6.0 rating by Rivals (only 25 players have 6.1 ratings). He's the highest ranked QB prospect ever in Tedford's tenure by a pretty good margin. Other than Goff being a 5.9, no one had better than 5.8 by Rivals. From Scout, the next highest guy was Kyle Reed (who turned out to be a bust).

Understand that calumnus......know the 2 categories...I originally said it was a shame cause he ranked as high as #7...should have included "pro style" but he was high enough to play QB somewhere if that was his dream. I also went on to say I wish him all the power and luck to play another position if he can see the field. That sounds reasonable to me. especially considering last year we played a guy who wasn't even ranked anywhere.

Understand, just pointing out that his #7 "Pro Style QB" ranking on Rivals was actually worse than his #17 QB ranking on Scout.
