I have a friend who won't buy anything Nike because of the way they produce their merchandise.Since Cal has now sold their soul to Nike, I am ging to have to hear about this from him multiple times over the next few months.

Is Nike any worse than any other manufacturer?
Is his disgust justified?

Maybe someone can give me some info so I can refute his claims

Thanks

probably not as bad as say apple. one product they run a sewing machine for hours on end. the other inhale toxic chemicals.

as for other apparel companies? it seems a ton get busted every year. who knows.

I'd also wonder how much the total manufacturing cost would differ if they paid good wages for the country and min wage in the usa. Because I always imagine a pair of jordans is $10 for material, $5 for labor, and $85 in markup.
