Nothing very flashy, but I think they are the best Cal uniforms we've ever had
The new Bear logo is meh, but it's not prominent on the uniforms

They're better than the last two designs but I don't like the numbers, especially the fours and the nines. They look like a third grader drew them. The logo is sad but, like you, since it isn't prominent, I can live with it. This is the world in which we live, branding, branding, branding!

I agree also. I am liking them more. The matte helmets with Cal script is great. Just don't likevthe all yellow unis. Never have. Logo is growing on me except the yellow on white one

Liked them yesterday, like them today. As long as that logo remains secondary, I'm good.

Now I do see the gray and they are slick...meshes well with blue.

As was mentioned in Sandy's introduction, there was a crying need for this, based on the dozens of names and logos the various teams are sporting.

I like the matte finish.
Love the elimination of the helmet stripe.
Not crazy about the font (and when you get right down to it, all this amounts to is the introduction of a new font and a new secondary logo), but I can live with it.
The one-color bear is very hard to see. The 2-color version works fine. I would've preferred the walking bear, though.

The most important decision for the football team is which combinations of colors will be worn on which occasions, and that's a team decision TBD.

So it rates a big "meh....ok" from me.

If we win at least 6 games this year, I will really love the uniforms.

Frankly, if they just eliminate the one color bear and stick with the two color version on the patch on the pants, I'm happy with everything. The one color version is too hard to make out the details of the face, and there is t enough contrast on the shoulder to see it well.

I think they are pretty nice. Matte helmets are probably the best improvement, especially since they got rid of the stupid helmet stripe. I also like the ghosting of the new bear logo in the numbers. It's subtle, but one of those things that may get 18 year olds excited. I think the greys could end up being pretty cool too.

I know some people are freaking out about the yellow on yellow combo, but that was just to present the available colors. Sonny has said that blue over gold will be the primary home uni, so fear not Old Blues.

I like them....but the Collarbone area needs more work. Near the shoulders, it looks like a weird strap of some kind on either side of the neck. I literally have to tell myself it's not a loose helmet/uniform strap and then look at it twice.

I say round it off the edges or add another "jagged edge" (is that what it's supposed to be?) towards the bottom of the collar and make the shoulder "edge" motif more expressive, but right now it can come off as an accidental or unintentional eyesore of some kind.

That said, I bet NIKE won't lift a finger or listen to feedback between now and Fall. They call the shots.

nice that a few people are "happy" ... Nike will listen to feedback (from whom?) before Fall ... of 2018. Gawd, they must be pleased with what they did to ... oops ... for Cal.

The collar is definitely the worst aspect of the new unis as far as I'm concerned, yeah.

I thought the refresh works well except the bear logo.

That said, hey it's just an uniform, they didn't butcher it and while the bear logo is odd/doesn't have good "fit" (and likely Nike's doing), it's minor.

In other words - play ball and win some games.
