Spinning off on 2 recent threads that speculate about the upcoming draft, here is a rundown of local players and local teams and how they might match up. Some here would like to see more of a connection between the 49ers and the Cal Bears come draft time and look to the 49ers need at WR as a sign that they may draft elite Cal WR Keenan Allen. Here is a more comprehensive evaluation about where the local and pac-12 players may land locally.

Of the players most likely to be playing on Sunday's in the bay area, the most undervalued are the TEs, except Ertz, and CJ Anderson. CJ Anderson could be one of the most underrated players in the draft, presumably because of his combine #s. His 40 is listed at 4.53, a tad slow for an RB. But CJ projects well to the 49ers for the following reasons[LIST=1]
The 49ers have a ton of late picks and Anderson should still be there.
The 49ers already have small backs and so won't be drafting Barner.
Gore is getting older and they will need someone to take his role when he is injured.
Anderson has the size and strength to project well to the NFL.
Anderson learned an NFL scheme under Tedford and so he is NFL ready, including blocking and receiving.
Anderson is a good character guy, something the 49ers look for.
Anderson's college #s are very impressive when you consider that he played behind a struggling OL and QB most of his college career.
So for those that like the anti-Cal 49er conspiracy stuff, I'd look to passing on Anderson as more evidence than passing on Allen. Because of other early round needs, S.F. may pass on a WR entirely and it is unclear if Allen represents the type of WR they need.
