Some of the other old timers may remember him. He lived in Berkeley and made documentaries which were great bits of Americana

"In Heaven there is no Beer" about polka

"Gap Toothed Women" about same

"Always for Pleasure" about New Orleans funeral parades.

"Werner Herzog eats his shoe" about Werner Herzog eating his shoe at Chez Panisse

"Garlic is as good as Ten Mothers"

Hopefully someone in town will do a retrospective
