I swear the internet is doing a better job reporting than CNN

sometimes it's better to be right than first though.

Unfortunately they haven't been right very much either. It's like first and wrong, or last and wrong.

Yeah I wonder which member of the fourth estate will correct the record on this missing kid who was labeled a child killer

Time to revive a proven strategy.

Maybe instead of sending covert aid to Chechnyan rebels as we did in the past (or still do?) we now help Putin bomb Chechnya? :headbang

Bush would invade Iran, even more oil there.

Not sure if this question has been asked, but why would these guys stick around the Boston area after the attack, especially with their photos getting released to the public? And then rob a 7-11, which obviously has security cameras? I mean, could you chalk it up to stupidity? Did they WANT to get caught or confronted by the police? I don't get it.

Bizarre. Otherwise we are to believe they spent all their money on all those weapons and explosives and forgot to save some cash for getting out of town so they knock over a 7-11? I don't get it either. There is a lot here that just does not make sense--not that senseless killing and maiming of innocents is ever going to really make sense.

The unreal thing is that the 19 year old apparently went to class at his college (UMass-Dartmouth) this week AFTER the bombing.

It has come out that the robbery of the store was not perpetrated by the bombing suspects.

Captured. Let's hope he is alive so the FBI and CIA can reason with him

I think they thought they could just slip back into society as they always had been there. They failed to take into account the fact that they would get picked up and ID'd on cameras. Ooops.

Who now thinks the entire nation should be hooked up with cameras? Maybe I could have caught the F-er who broke into my car in my driveway.

That makes slightly more sense (though incredibly stupid for some random guys to rob a 7-11, much less in Watertown when the place is crawling with heavily armed police, Federal agents and National Guard looking for the bombers!). How do you make sense of the senseless?

I had a similar thought.

If you plan in terrorizing a city by setting off bombs at a major public event, don't you have an exit strategy? I mean an exit-the-country strategy. It's stupid to not think that the police, federal government and all of society will use all their resources to catch you and bring you to justice.

I think the guys were just idiots. Look at the pictures from the bombing. The guy is wearing his hat backwards and not concealing his face. That was the biggest giveaway.

Wearing a jacket over his hoodie with his hat backward just made it look like he was from Boston, which turns out to have been the case.

Yeah, seriously.

Wouldn't you wear a fake beard or something and then flee the country.

The FBI didn't know who they were 72 hours later.

Really odd.

After watching a lot of movies (been on the plane for awhile) the most likely scenario is that they are just pawns of some mastermind that's behind the scenes... And after Ye bombing they were dropped and so that lead to panic and robbery for cash, etc

Wasn't that the plot to some season of 24?
