Didn't see this posted. No Cal related athletes on the list, but I'm thinking with his new contract, Aaron Rodgers should crack top 5 next year. He gets $40 million just in salary. Not sure how much in endorsement he makes, but whatever it is, it should be enough to vault him towards the top.

I can't believe how much Floyd Mayweather makes, and none of that comes from endorsements. Pretty crazy. If he ends up like Tyson, I will be incredibly disappointed.

He's definitely in a unique position. He's his own promoter and gets a share of the PPV buys. With his gambling habit and legal woes, I wouldn't be shocked if he somehow blew it all in the end.

he had to fight marquez because he was operating in the red. he's going to blow it all and then hes going to have to come back and fight way past his prime and get spanked by younger fighters.

btw though, i think that whole deal with paquiao is orchestrated. mayweather knows that manny is the only one with enough speed where he even has a chance to beat mayweather. (though ill agree, mayweather is still a big favorite if he ever fights him)

but i think that mayweather is putting off the Paquiao fight because he knows that if he somehow loses to Manny, his value will go down tremendously and he wont be able to get as big a paydays fighting nobody fighters. as long as he has that untarnished record, he can continue to command the giant paydays. why fight manny now and risk losing and lose the ability to command the giant paydays from almost guaranteed wins? i think that mayweather will fight manny in his last two fights for his two biggest paydays of his career to end it when he knows he doesnt want to fight the nobody fighters anymore.

^ While I question his flamboyance at times, Mayweather is the best pound for pound fighter alive, IMHO. They're just not made like him anymore. He'll fight Paquiao someday, and he will win. Just my non expert opinion. That fight will be, HUGE...!

^ The Dodgers are trying to be the Yankees of the west. While I am a lifelong Giants fan, the Dodgers are no joke. By the time September rolls around, things are going to get very, very interesting. I love baseball...

Congratulation to Comrade Mayweather for owning the means of production and distribution! Seriously, good for Mayweather for being smart enough to figure it out and take ownership. That said, not a fan of the guy.

Only 4? It's a travesty that Clayton Kershaw didn't make the list. He's definitely better than that bum Zito.
