According to TOS.

Anyone know who?

Nope. I'm refreshing BI constantly hoping someone spills the beans.

Unfortunately McCain and Moala come to mind first but we will see.

That's a shame if true. He would have provided quality depth at the tackle position and certainly see the field.

Its not like another academic drop-out is desirable at this juncture.

and moving on ... next who will take his spot is ... wonder how this will change things for the season . will any younger/JC guys seize the opportunity ?? could this lead to some guys moving around on the D line

Yep. Kaufusi.

Like Furd says . . . would be nice to know a reason. Our 4-3 D front is getting awfully thin. Time for Moala to hit the books and smash some OLineman, like we have all been hoping for.

Too bad. His career here never really got going. I remember those HS videos of him -- he looked like a human wrecking ball.

Maybe some of the final shakeout with "buy-in" of the program... Are you all the way in, or out?

Best all-time point guards

1) Kidd
2) Magic (more of a point-forward, comparable to lebron)
3) Oscar Robertson (great stats, but did he make his team better as much as Kidd and Magic?)
4) Stockton

saw a separate article (not sure if it's a competing site) but the reason wasn't stated ... only that he hadn't contributed much but that his departure does leave the depth a bit thin at DL.

2 deeps are:
NOSE 91 Deandre Coleman (6-5, 320, Sr.*)
55 Viliami Moala (6-2, 340, Jr.)

DT 90 Mustafa Jalil (6-2, 275, Jr.)
TBA (Gabe King ????)

Recruits coming in:
DT JC Marcus Manley 6-2/279

DT HS Tony Mekari 6-3/260
DT HS Jacobi Hunter 6-0/285

Time for have king to step up. It's your time to shine kiddo. Also hope Manley is good enough to contribute right away.

oops is right...not sure what's worse-finding this post in the middle of unrelated thread, or trying to read about how Magic wasn't a point guard....

Do you watch the game? Magic's game not even close to resembling James. Robertson averaged a triple double!!!

This is like saying Marshawn as good as AP. I love Cal but you are really stretching it!

Oscar was a great player, I am sure. But his triple double season is a bit overrated. When accounting for pace of play (the NBA was much quicker in Oscar's day than it is now), Lebron has had multiple seasons in which he'd have had a triple double average if he played when Oscar did.

I still don't get all the Lebron hate. He's a team player, unselfish, dominant when he needs to be, makes everyone better, is the best perimeter defender since Jordan, and even took considerably less money to play on a team and in a location that he preferred. He is everything we should want in a star athlete.

he plays that way, but he does rub people the wrong way at times with his occasional show of arrogance and the only thing hes missing from his game is that he isnt particularly clutch. hes a great player and talent. MJ and Kobe in his prime were still funner to watch because of their flare for the dramatics but i agree, both guys are probably actually lesser people off the court

Lebron is actually a much better player in the clutch than Kobe. The numbers aren't even close.

its a lot easier to have better numbers if you pass up the last shot. he was scared to pull the trigger up until last year.

My apologies to those basketball people hijacking this thread about Cal defense :p

Yeah, King, Barr ... time for someone to step up because Jalil is playing with a high motor and will need to take a break now and then.
Dykes said in the question-answer video that Defense is what wins games and doesn't want to get into shoot-outs.

Jerry West played some point for the Lakers but was more of a 2.

Lebron James is developing the clutch aspect of his game. You would never say that about Kobe this late in his career.
