Did Dykes and staff offer College of San Mateo offensive tackle Dominik Jackson? Local kid just down the road... supposed to be the #1 prospect in the JC ranks. 6-7. 315 with a crazy offer list... Alabama, Arkansas, Ohio State, Florida, Oregon, Florida State, UCLA, USC and Texas A&M.

JC system is no joke a AAA system right here in our backyard hope sonny and crew can establish the necessary relationships needed to keep some of these kids here ( keep in mind alot of kids from other states come to the jc system out west it is a factor)

Getting more JC players will actually help us with our APR. Our JC players graduate at a higher rate. It is the freshman/sophomore years at Cal where the players are at the greatest risk for academic casualty. Much easier to make it through those final two years.

Plus the CA JC system is created for getting kids into UC or CSU.

The clincher is that we now have an offensive system that doesn't take 3 years to learn and it is a system similar to that used by many JCs (like CCSF). Hopefully we can start block Oregon from getting California's JC talent.

Cal did not offer, he chose UCLA simply because of the proximity to home(san jose), if cal did offer the choice would've been obvious.

I don't get it. Kid down the street is good enough for Alabama but we take a pass?

in these cases, and yes i'm generalizing, it's almost always a question of academics.

sucks. it's not often a kid from my alma mater (Homestead HS) gets to go D1......
