Cal constantly "posterized."

Is it just me, or does it seem like whenever a TV editor puts together a CFB highlight package on a player or team, their first thought is: "Get some footage of him scoring on Cal," or "sacking Cal's quarterback." We sure seem to get a lot of exposure, but not in a good way. Do we just have a knack for making the other guys look amazing?

I'm kidding, I know it just seems that way, but wow. Even in games we won, they still show the other team's one highlight from that game. :rollinglaugh:

I've noticed it too. Every time I see Kaepernick college highlights, they always show the Cal game. Also, anytime ESPN or whoever showed SC highlights over the past few years, it always seemed to be against us. Yeah, I know we lost, but it's like these teams only made good plays against us or something.

I don't know if this fits your definition, but in the Arian Foster story, they showed only highlights of him playing against us in 2007. At least we won.

You know what they say....any publicity is better than no publicity.

Besides, everybody east of the Rockies thinks this "posterized" team is UCLA.

They showed him scoring a touchdown in that story versus Cal...so yes it qualifies.

Remember that networks use their own footage when they can. For example, the ESPN Kap highlights being shown were in a game telecast on ESPN. If Kap had similar success on an ESPN game v. another school, they would show those as well.

Same for the Foster highlights. They occurred in a TN game on ESPN.

In essence, use your own highlights first.......

Reminds me of the NFL draft last year....I think Zach Maynard had more airtime in the first round then any other player....getting sacked....getting picked....getting smashed...
