I know it is a little late to ask, but does anyone know a way to get to Berkeley from Sacramento( and back to Sacramento after the game) Saturday for the 7:30pm game? The train is out because the game will end so late. The only way my sons and their friends can find to get here is to drive to an out-laying BART station. (Hopefully BART will be running.) Are there buses or anything available?

If BART is on strike, I would drive and look for parking on the northside.

If BART is running, I would drive to El Cerrito del Norte and take BART from there.

I think BART stops running at midnight. With the game starting at 7:30 (which will probably be more like 7:40), I wouldn't be absolutely positive you'll be able to stay for the whole game AND get to BART on time.

I don't know if BART makes special arrangements for Cal games; I doubt it.

Let's assume BART doesn't go out on strike.

The last 4 BART trains from Rockridge station (on College Avenue, south of the Stadium) leave at 11.40pm, 12.00, 12.25 and 12.41 and they arrive at the eastern end of the line (Pittsburg/Bay Point) from 12.12 through 1.20am.

The last train on the Fremont/Richmond line leaves downtown Berkeley at 12.50am, arriving at El Cerrito at 12.59am.

Well, sure...you can look at the schedule if you're into facts. Thanks for the info, chalcid...I didn't know BART trains ran that late.

The last train leaves Downtown Berkeley toward Richmond at 12:50am. That should be fine.

If BART is running, my group drives Sacramento to Richmond and takes BART in from there. It seems to work relatively nicely. Though . . . the parking and traffic in Berkeley were not bad at the WSU game and since this is a night game and we are not playing well I suspect it will be even lighter this week - if you wanted to just drive all the way in.

Agreed. You could do either and be OK. The El Cerrito-Del Norte BART station has plenty of parking and it's a short trip to downtown Berkeley. Considering the light turnout for the WSU game, I'm guessing this week's turnout will be even lighter with the 7:30 start. You should even be able to find parking that won't break the bank.

Last train for the city leaves Downtown Berkeley at 12:30 am and Rockridge at 12:32 am. Luckily, I am taking my brother to the game so we have use of his car. The Bay Bridge closure was actually nice because they ran trains 24 hours and that gave us a chance to eat and relax a bit after the Northwestern game.

There is also supposed to be a shuttle bus that goes from Sac to the stadium. Not sure what the price is, but you could give them a call. I believe is leaves from West Sac actually. You would be able to park there and go back and forth.

Yeah this is exactly what they want, but it no longer goes to Sacramento. Not enough riders I guess.
