Luke led his team to victory in a semi-final playoff game earlier tonight. Seems to have great accuracy!

"I had all day back there to throw the football," Rubenzer said. "I think I got pressure once or twice. I was just part of a great team effort."

But it was Rubenzer making it all happen for Saguaro. He is now less than 100 yards from going over the 4,000-yard mark in passing this season and has thrown 58 touchdown passes to go along with only three interceptions.

1. High school playoff game on Monday night?
2. Championship game on Friday? 3 days to practice?
3. Undefeated team gives up a 77 spot? Did coach Buh drive down to Arizona to help out?
4. 26 of 30 for 541 and 9 TDs? In a semi final playoff game? Was the opponent a school for the blind or deaf or amputees? 20 yds per completion? A TD every 3 passes?
I guess this kid is good but if this is the level of competition I'll believe it when I see it. I mean this stuff just sounds ridiculous.

Can he go 26 for 30 in the classroom, too?

Wasn't his competition and league one of the main reasons he wasn't rated particularly high to begin with? I remember Dilfer or someone mentioning this as the biggest reason he wasn't being taken seriously.

It would be great to get him in for the spring like Goff. As SD's first qb recruit I could see him getting a fair look going into fall camp if he gets to participate in spring ball.
Most of Goff's shortcomings can be attributed to the poor O-line play, but the one element lacking from his game that Rubernzer could provide is a true running threat.

He got offers from Columbia and all 3 service academies, according to the other site. Academics are not an issue at all.
OTOH, the lack of offers from other AQ schools is somewhat concerning.

Wow! Rubenzer posted those unreal numbers against a 12-0 team supposedly with one of the best Ds in the state. Goff's days starting might be over since Rubenzer is SD's first QB recruit. And it may explain why SD is not putting any effort into keeping Kline happy.

^ Rubenzer is 6" with cleats on a good day.
His accuracy was above average compared to all the elite 11 QBs at their camp, and he wasn't able to show off one of his best attributes...his wheels.
His HS installed the TFS this year.
This is Franklin's first hand-picked QB at Cal. He went out of his way to get this guy, in some random Div in Arizona.
I am optimistic about Rubenzer coming to Cal and also performing well.

During the 11's, it was stated that Luke was carrying a 4.3 GPA!
It will be neat to see if and how his game translates to the Pac-12, and the TFS, as run by the man himself.
There are some who say, like dimitrig, that he might not be the answer at QB. I was speaking with someone who felt that if he sees the field at this level, it might be on D.
He looked good in the 11's so I look forward to seeing what he can do...
