Relax.
Bigger picture in evening out the schedule.
And......
You are 25% closer to Santa Clara than Berkeley

Sorry if someone else already mentioned this, but there was a story last week that the 49ers would not play any home Monday or Thursday night games during the first season until traffic studies are completed. But somehow a Friday night college game can be played? Strange.

This is my favorite line....
"we have nearly 100,000 alumni who live in the South Bay, and holding the game at Levi's Stadium gives them a chance to watch the Bears in person that they may not normally have."
Really?
You expect me to believe that there are a significant amount of these south bay alumni that have been itching to go to a Cal game, but for they live in the south bay?
I agree with minkjr, Phantom and SoFaBear.

but it also gives the campus and new Chancellor Nicholas Dirks more time to fully engage with faculty, students, staff and the surrounding community on how best to manage weeknight games in Berkeley.

For those worried about traffic, there are a few hotels within 1-1.5 miles. Come in early and chill out. Hilton, Marriott, TownPlace, Courtyard. Remember it's 1.25 miles from Berkeley BART to CMS. Make reservations now, before the hotels catch on. Make sure it's totally cancelable. What's the worst that can happen?

I like the idea of a game in Santa Clara; it'll give me one more reason not to renew

$80-100 a ticket for non season ticket holders. Good luck with that.

Yeah but, "we have nearly 100,000 alumni who live in the South Bay, and holding the game at Levi's Stadium gives them a chance to watch the Bears in person that they may not normally have." So I'm sure they will be more than willing to drop that insignificant amount, after all, they get to see the Bears in person!!

Wait, are you saying that they come back to Memorial in 2015?

I like this idea. Parking is a little steep but there are TONS of ways around it. Only "downside" to me is if they don't reduce the season ticket price to account for 1 less marquee game on the schedule since we're gong to have to pay for it.

...Perhaps the plan is to charge Cal season ticket holders the same as last season (hope not), while also charging us for the Oregon game separately? Again, I hope instead that we're squeezing Levi's as hard as we squeeze our fans.
