It looks like Deandre and RR may be the only ones that get drafted. I'll be curious to see how many get picked up under FA.

I think McCain and moala are talented enough to make it. Even though they may not get drafted.

I can't believe Kam is only the 51st ranked cb. Shocked just shocked.

Is it too late for him to change his mind and spend a year w akina?

Yeah, Kam Jackson made a huge mistake judging by this ranking. He's gonna be extremely lucky to get a combine invite, definitely on the outside looking in. He'll need a monster pro day to get his name called.

So much for quitting when the going gets tough. Too bad some of those guys didn't stick it out..... Actually, I can understand those playing for Buh losing hope cause he was so far in over his head it wasn't funny...

Jackson makes a team if he runs a fast 40 and shows he has pursuit/closing speed, probably as a FA.

Thanks for posting. I wish them all the best! My hope is that they all make it! Can't knock the fact that while at Cal they gave it their all. If anything, the guys that did not finish their academics return and eventually graduate. go bears!

Other than Coleman and Rodgers, I think many on this board had the same predictions regarding draft potential/placement of these players. I had a lot of WTF? moments recently when players declared. Wonder where they all got their advice from and I'm equally curious as to CBS sports track record with these rankings over the past 5 years. Also, I think Rodgers may get drafted higher than predicted here.

D'Amato may have a really good shot at landing on a team IMO. It's too bad but I wish all Cal players the best of luck in pursuing their NFL dreams. Hope FA is kind to our bears.

GO BEARS!

I'm shocked that Coleman and Rodgers are so low actually. I bet Deandre boosts his stock into the 2nd or 3rd rounds and I wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers creeps up either. Some sites had him going really early had he stuck out one more year and declared for the 2015 draft.

Don't forget Keenan Allen was a third round pick and he was a way better prospect than any of the guys this year.

Yeah, I feel Coleman will go higher than this prediction as well.

CAL didn't get so many people in the NFL by everyone being an underclassmen and declaring. Rodgers, Lynch, Allen and Jackson all started for years and were 1st team all conference... these guys not so much.

Coleman will go earlier. 6th round latest for him, and I can see Rodgers getting drafted. Other than that, I don't know. Maybe Kam in the 7th if he is lucky...

A couple of guys are really screwing over their lives in the long run. In the pros it is hard enough to make it even if drafted, these guys are just making their odds even worse. Something as small as a small injury when trying out for a team can end their career.

I'm rooting for them, but I think most of them will look back and put this down as the worst mistake in their lives.

Keenan was a friggin' steal. I couldn't believe his draft experience. He also allowed me to beat everyone in my office fantasy league pool :rollinglaugh:

Got lots of "stupid Cal homer" calls until I took all their "donations". God bless Allen.

Keenan was actually being evaluated fairly appropriately (1st/2nd round) before his slow 40 time dropped him.

Based on their on-field performance those numbers are about right. I'm curious how they chabge after any pro-days, workouts, and combines.

As far as the advice they got, there is more to be factored into the decision than just how high they might go in the draft this year. To wit: What is their current academic situation? How do they see their academic situation playing out? How do they see next year on the Cal team being for them, were they to stay? How much do they like being at Cal and on the Cal team?

Those are all good questions they should have asked and hopefully did ask when making such a big decision. Bottom line is, some of the guys on this list really, really screwed up by declaring for the draft at this time. D'OH. They think they are exceptional ballers, but they ain't. Hope they eventually establish good careers for themselves, whether it is inside or outside of football.

The advise most got on their prospects is that they lacked any. This is not say Furd or Alabama where the have AAs leaving because they are top draft picks. Forgetting Rodgers who I still think is a low round pick, most of these guys can't cut it in school and are facing the hard classes they deferred, and can't deal with other issues.

I am actually looking forward to the combine. Bigs might jump some stock with his speed and agility. Might shine. I don't think his numbers are what he needs to worry about though. With his 2X ACL injury, I think that's what will hurt him. As for bouza, I see potential in him. Never really got a fair shot at Cal, but deff has talent if u paid attention to him. Wish them all luck

I don't see anyone with a chance at a combine invite besides Coleman and Rodgers. What I'm curious about is whether they would be allowed to finish their degrees since they left.

Moala may have a chance at a roster spot on potential, but Jackson's history of no one throwing his way may be due to the walkon CB (can't think of his name) getting burned on ever play. No need to throw anyone else's way.

I have to believe some of these guys got the Zack Kline treatment; they were told they were not in the future plans. That would make sense with Rodgers, who was a fish out of water in this offense. Kam Jackson? Outside of the three pick fUCLA game, what did he REALLY do? I was really unimpressed with him outside of that small sample. Moala? Much the same; many games you'd be hard pressed to find him. Fortt? Again, never healthy enough to really make much of an impact. Tags? Freakin' turnstile at left tackle and unusable at guard. (Yeah I know he's not in the draft, but I'm just positing on why some guys are outta here).

If we look dispassionately (hard for us die-hard Bear fans to do I know) at the truth... the team disintegrated under Tedford and clearly is lacking in talent and drive. I think I agree with trying to clear out the cancerous malaise of the end of JT's term, but I worry that it could, believe it or not, get worse before it gets better. I pray I am wrong... but we'll find out soon enough. Sonny will NEED that 3rd ranked Pac-12 class to have a shot at changing my mind.

I read somewhere that once you declare or participate, you are give up eligibility. Either way, once these guys are gone they aren't coming back (to play).

Some may be picked up as FA to fill practice squads, then called to the coaches' offices to hear the news, then walk away thinking about the education they dumped (for those who wanted it, some didn't) and their futures ...

Bigelow is the saddest case ... a few spectacular runs but his history of injuries is too much and his total body of work is very thin, especially with his problems holding onto the ball. He could have finished his degree even though he wouldn't have played much. Instead ... ????

Life is a series of choices and consequences.

"Luck" only happens for those who have prepared and can grasp opportunities.

Best wishes to those who are walking away from a Cal scholarship and degree for whatever reasons. :axe
Those who got their degrees are in good shape for life regardless of what happens with the NFL. They are graduates of THE University of California. :bravo

Looks about right although it could change depending on how they show in the "beauty contests" (combine or pro day). I could see Fortt, McCain, maybe Moala getting drafted just on measurables. There are always a few guys who blow away the scouts on workout days.

Because of so many underclassmen that declared, it is hard to tell where our guys will land in the draft... But I am willing to bet more than just 2 Cal players get drafted in the 7 rounds.

I don't think a CBS projection is going to really determine where these guys get drafted.

Deandre Coleman is already tearing up senior day practices, and athletically speaking Bigelow, RR, Tiny are just going to jump off the charts and while they may be drafted, I would be really surprised to not see at least 4 Cal Bears drafted this year.

Coleman for sure - height and a space eater inside. RR probably - big athletic - may be more of a blocking TE though. Moala - purely a space eater. Probably not. Was always a one-step player here. Bigelow - No. Even if he could run a 4.4 again; 2 major knee injuries, a very small body of work, no ability to make anyone miss (other than two spins in a single game a year and a half ago), and a history of not being able to hold onto the football.
