Acceptance notifications went out today.

I work with a club sport. Can't tag for admissions.

We have 28 HS seniors who have applied to Cal and want to play our club sport. All well over 4.2 gpa's etc.

But admissions is definitely a 'who knows' deal.

We expect about 9-11 to be admitted, but who knows???
One year we had 22. Another year we had like 7.

We do a bunch of cheering and sighing in front of the computer monitor over the next couple days as we find out who is in and not.

Some HSs up and down the state get 20+ admitted. A few 15 or so.
Most HSs get 3-4 Cal admits. a few 8,9. I have an older list that shows how many used to be admitted by HSs. Nothing currently on line that I can find.

Admissions strives for 20% commits out of state max.

Would you believe about 40% or so of the overall admits, actually commit??!!!

Depends on financial aid offered in many cases, and what their other options are.

We have 2 who have advised they are admitted so far...
Admissions doesn't talk to club sports, so we twiddle our thumbs while we wait for info.

What is lacrosse for men - is that a Club Sport? Is there special preference for lacrosse players, or even Rugby players?
