Swap the big gulp logo for a Starbucks logo and that would be a winner.

Nah, high calibear nailed it. Tosh needed to upgrade from the small coffee cup to the big gulp. He needed more space to hold all that extra cash he has to dole out.

Saban better be sure that Tosh is through the security line and on his way to the plane ahead of him if they ever go on any recruiting trips together. Do you think he wears multiple coach polos at the same time just in case? Glad he's farther away from Berkeley and away from the Pac12.

A big azz Slurpee cup would also be appropriate.

We still hatting on this guy? Did we not determine the real way **** went down?

does it matter if JT was to blame for the injury-faking situation, or for him bailing?
as predicted, he committed a bunch of sketchy sh*t at UW like everyone thought he would under a slimy boss like Sark. that's just who he is. great recruiter, decent coach.
the real question people should be asking is why it's so hard to find a good DL coach. go ahead, Tate, prove me wrong.

To be truthful almost none of those guys have panned out. I've been over it. We all should. I wish him the best and I'm sure once we fire Sandy and get the right guy for the job we can find it in our hearts to take him back of it means wins.

... He's a POS, but he'll fit in well with the sleazy SEC.
beeasyed;842298097 said:
- why are people so stuck on Tosh being the only decent coach out there? if Sandy was fired and we "got the right guy for the job", we'd be making much smarter hires than Tosh.
- "if it means wins"? you make it sound like we were winning a lot when Tosh was around. in reality, we'd been downhill for quite some time, and Tosh staying wouldn't have made a difference.

And even at UW I thought he was doing alright but he hasn't yet approached the level of crazy star recruiting he was hitting at Cal. Granted this might certainly change at Bama given all factors in play, but I'd like to think that leaving his alma mater really did at least his ding his recruiting ability a little bit.

there are certain constraints with recruiting in the Northwest. i guess the best case in point would be Oregon in the last few years.
Tosh has been involved in a couple of their bigger name recruits, even those not on the DL. guys like Qualls, Coleman, Stringfellow all got the deluxe Tosh treatment (24/7 texting support, Xbox live participation, etc.).
while there is the added benefit of being able to recruit for his alma mater, i don't think selling the education and academic prestige was ever Tosh's strong suit. personally, i don't believe Tosh was telling Tiny how excellent and challenging Cal is academically when he recruited him...
StillNoStanfurdium;842299057 said:
No, but he could talk about what he liked about being at Cal, playing under Tedford, etc. He could relate to how he dealt with academics at Cal and so forth. I think that's valuable stuff to a recruit.

If he's not coaching and just hired as a staff member there with player personnel, isn't this a huge step back? Unless bama pays those guys $300K a year too...
