Apparently he's currently playing football for New Mexico Highlands University (Div. II). :cool:

I've seen several college students lose everything after making a single terrible decision. But it seems like some people get chance after chance after chance.

He should have transferred to Florida State.
Police in football-rabid Tallahassee in the StandYourGround state would take it easy on him.

Wow, it looks like all 4 in the case were given probation. I don't know if that happens if they were not KU football players. The initial reports say the robbery was at gunpoint, so this wasn't just a case of these guys simply taking some cash and drugs. What is the % of those convicted for an armed robbery given just probation (it appears Martin was only convicted of felony robbery)?

Then again, maybe the judge just thought it would be better if Martin was out of Kansas so he becomes some other states problem and Kansas doesn't have to pick up the large jail bill now.
