Don't mean to hint that your Skov comfort zone should be rattled ... but ... admitting that you're filtering out visual proof that the guy's a thug doesn't make your "liking" Slov very convincing.

None of this has anything to do with why he was not drafted. But, if you followed the draft, there were many stories that could not really be explained.

For example, absolutely nobody understands why the Cleveland Browns did not draft a WR.

Similarly, many players went way lower than expected. For example, Marion Grice, who was one of the best RBs in the pac-12 last year, went late in the 6th round. And Dion Bailey (safety USC) did not get drafted either.

Welcome to the world of executive metrics. The scouting of talent has gotten very abstract to the point where a player's college career is almost irrelevant.

If I was a GM, I would have drafted Shayne no later than 4th round and maybe as high as 2nd round. I've never seen another player, at any level, time a blitz better than Skov. And he is a natural born leader whose skill set translates to the NFL.

Interesting stuff about Furd's draft class and Skov. You'd think after winning a Pac12 conference title and being decent for a few years they'd have better/more players entering the NFL...so what gives?

Is Furd considered soft in the NFL? Or if players peak in college with PEDs/cold glove, think the NFL can figure that out? (Logically if a player peaks in college, not that much left for the pros.)

Seems fair that he should get the chance to be injured by a cheap shot, and I have no doubt that he'll take cheap shots himself.

i dont know skov as a person off the field, but on the field that hit on Goff was as dirty as they come. i dont know if id go as far as thug, but id say scumbag describes my feeling of him as a football player

Actually a pretty big shout out to Furd coaching if none of their players are worth drafting.

But in truth, most NFL coaches do not like smart players, especially on D. I heard an interview with Phil Sims in which he said he had to pretend to be dumb to keep on Parcell's good side. (and he was a QB).

I don't want to be a hater, but Fortt got drafted early? That's kind of insane.

I've heard Simms a an announcer. He doesn't need to pretend much.
