Newsom is a joke for even considering this. Now if our crappy APR results were not addressed and it was business as usual, then I can possibly see something being put in place to correct and improve on our APR. The APR debacle was/in an embarrassment to anyone associated with Cal and the AD has put in place initiatives to improve this. We are seeing the results. To come late to the party and start making recommendations for your own political gain is ridiculous. WTF does he know about college sports and how to hire an AD? The state is a mess and he wants to focus some of his effort on this? Typical.

Having interfaced with TAM and TOSU fans before. I found them enjoyable, polite, and fun. And not with the attitude that our program shouldn't lose to your lowly team, which you often see in fans at successful programs. Maybe if we were in their conference it would be different. And candidly, my one interface at Udub was a pleasant experience except for the game itself (a fairly good Cal team was destroyed while we sat on hard stone seats shivering).

Well, his letter specifically calls out Cal and notes their vacant AD spot as an opportunity to restructure the AD contract with his ideas.
