Anthony Brown quit the team, and then had this to say. Make of it what you will.

Usually I only enjoy the occasional Schadenfurderloserdopen but I'm enjoying me some Schadentrojanloserdopen right about now.
But alas $C makes their own bad karma by their insane love of football and their willingness to support it. I wonder if Haden and Sark will try and stonewall the investigation. Well lets hope so!

It was a really dumb hire. He was like the Anna Korinkova of college football coaches, except that he now fosters urban high diving and is now being accused of racism by a disgruntled player. Good luck on the season, Pat.

Racist or not...the U$C football program is in disarray and confusion. It's all that bad karma paying back!

Its going to essentially be Kiffin all over again for them. Thats my prediction and i think its somewhat karma for what they did to Ed O.

Before you get too excited I would remember how Oregon looked after the Blount incident in Chipper's first year.

The very existence of USC's football team is proof positive that there is no such thing as karma...or God, for that matter.

Exactly, OTB. I was thinking the same thing.
Actually, I think that Brown did Sarkisian a huge favor. Brown may have single-handedly removed a source of dissension and surly discontent by quitting the team. It wouldn't surprise me if Brown's definition of slavery is having to do something that you don't want to do.
I mean, really. You spend four years playing on USC's football team (Brown is a RS senior) and then, in your fifth year, you claim "slavery"?

BS. Other Players on the 'SC team have tweeted things to indicate Sark is a great coach/guy. Reminds me of the Wazzou star WR who quit and made bad remarks about Leach during Leach's initial year. I think USC will be fine and has a GREAT chance of winning the Pac-12 this year.
Don't know enough about Sark to judge him personally but from a football standpoint he did come to UW when they were garbage (0-12) in Willingham's final year and got them back on track. Now that Sark has a few year's of head coaching experience, we will see how he performs.
StillNoStanfurdium;842347708 said:
Well it's not like he was playing for Sark in his past years. So it's not that out of the question that he felt like something Sark did was uniquely bad for him or something.

I agree that this new incident is likely nothing... but one MAJOR difference between UO and USC is the media presence and persistence that surrounds an LA school vs one in Eugene. If there's anything remotely fishy, it will be sought out like gold. The Ducks may be popular, but it's still a relatively insignificant school in a small town in the PNW.

To make the exact same hiring mistake twice is epic. They may as well have asked Kiffen to dye his hair black and grow a goatee and re-hired him. I'd love to have been in the room when they discussed it: "Well, the first offensive co-coordinator from the Pete Carroll glory days didn't work out so well (who would've thunk it given his mediocre track record as a head coach) so let's hire the other offensive co-cordinator from the same time with a mediocre track record (although slightly better). We had the right idea with Kiffen and have no idea why it failed, so let's just go for a redo with Sark." If things go poorly with Sark, which I agree is highly likely, it will make for some comedic gold around the conference.

I call BS on that though. As Koreambear mentioned earlier, the guy hired Tosh, a sleaze in his own right, in a sleazy way to try to bomb our recruiting class. players can say that hes great all he wants. at best ill say that i think he has questionable character. btw Leach has questionable character too, locking his players in the closet as punishment. tsk tsk tsk

USC lacks foresight and imagination and they keep going back to the glory years of '02-'04...and they completely lucked on Pete Carroll.

So you wouldn't want Dykes to hire a great assistant/recruiter from UW, Stanford, UCLA even though it could bomb their recruiting class?
