Strange, no love for Muhammad?

He almost single handed revamped our offense in the second half. At times it was as if they couldn't see him; and that long run where the corner back gave him a good shot, he simply kept his balance and scored. Man, what a game. I also believe at one time he was averaging over ten yards per carry. He was our best back last year but this year he seems slightly forgotten.

I thought he looked great. It was a coming out party for him. We know he's fast, but he broke some tackles Saturday.

He had a great game. I'd like to see him and Lasco alternate as the speed guy and the workhorse. He definitely brought a different dimension to the game.

there's been little mention of the fact that we found our ground game. That is a small precious little jewel from this game

I'd love to see Muhammed and Lasco together on the field at the same time as part of the bone formation.

Maximus, I think that yesterday was a HUGE confidence builder for #29! I expect him to torch Colorado for 100+ next week...(if the right plays are called for him) I think Mohamad is a better runner outside the tackles....he seems to be more confident in space and tends to accelerate much better outside the box...

I don't know why he is not the lead runningback over Lasco, he has a level of speed that Lasco does not.

He only had two carries in the 1st half but on those carries, it looked like he was running with an extra spring in his step so I said in chat to look for him to break a long td. The 2nd one up the middle in the red zone was major icing on the cake.

I'd prefer to use him the same way most games. Keep him fresh for the 2nd half then unleash him on tired defenses that can't keep up.

Yes, GREAT balance on that TD run. Reminded me of J.J Arrington on that run...

He missed his cut on the last drive. He hits that like a Gould RB and we win that game.

So, why the lack of "love" for Lasco? He's broken for long, long TDs and that hasn't impressed some of you???

We have two (2) RBs: Lasco with power and speed; Khalfani with speed and new power.
Say thank you to Harrington and our S&C staff that both RBs have worked their butts off and significantly reshaped themselves.

Lasco is slow ??????????????????
Check the length of his TD runs so far. Big double-digits.

We have two (2) RBs who are becoming very effective. Unselfish players.
Getting caught into either/or instead of recognizing both/and isn't appropriate for this team.

This! Bring him out in the second half when the defense is a step or two slower .... dude's going to post some big numbers!

Unlike last season, he can actually break out from the LOS..credit the OL for that!

Our rushing game as a whole is at 4.2 per carry, pretty much right in the middle of the conference, ahead of both LA schools and others...

Lasco 6.6
Enwere 5.6
KM 5.0
Luke 4.0
Tre 3.7

In SD's nice last season at La Tech, they ran at 5.2 yards per carry, and look at the balance too, much like we have now...

KM actually averaged 6 yards a carry last season, more so than this year thus far (about 5)... Two other starting RB's averaged 4+ yards (4.0 and 4.7) a carry in 2013. Coprich was at 3.9 last year too. Some have liked to characterize last season's rushing game as a cause of that nightmare. That really is a fallacy.

Our overall running game is improved from last year's average thus far, but then we have not played the best defenses yet either. Arizona's rush D looks to be pretty good, so I think we can be optimistic that our run game will be improved over last year. We are running a lot more and not passing 60x a game, which is great...

Agree. Lasco wears them out in the first half, and then Muhammad sprints around them in the second half. It was a great combination.

And eliminate the Rubenzer run up the middleit has kinda lost it's magic. Goff at QB is the answer. If we have a decent back, the QB running is not relevant. Gaining the extra man advantage is over-rated.

Just because Lasco is a complete back doesn't mean he's slow. He usually outruns the secondary.
The reason Lasco is starting is very simple, STATS. Until Saturday, Lasco has been more effective in every game and Saturday he was equally effective.

Just the usual bytching that the one who isn't in the game is the guy who should be in the game.
