As the AM/PM marketing slogan says: "Too much good stuff". Watching the modern game is like being on a four hour sugar high. I'd love to see a little more balance in the game but don't expect any significant change. Maybe coaches will start swinging talent over to the defensive side of the ball or the rules makers will do something to lessen the amount of "legal" holding that goes on. It does seem that most of the tinkering with rules has benefited offenses.

how much longer do you suppose we can keep blaming JT/staff for lack of defensive recruiting success? i'm asking bc you made a similar comment about JT in another thread. do you know something we don't?

it just seems implausible that a guy like Langley, for example, who's been to Cal too many times to count, is turned off by what he may or may not have heard about JT playing favorites?

How long? Every time I saw the product on the field last year, I cussed at his name! LOL... I used to defend him when my friends and relatives that are alums of USC and UCLA made fun of him. Then worst things began to pile up on Cal Football because of his staid demeanor to players who will obey him blindly and stuffy to people who don't have a choice but follow his orders or else!

For Langley I don't really know what happen to him. If he decided to go somewhere else, I would guess the product on the field he saw scared him.

Sark spends more time trying to manipulate things off the field than most coaches do to try to win things on the field.
That is his basic problem (insecurity). He's actually a decent coach when he's coaching.

Gotta love the fight in this team. Amazing comeback. Down by 10 at the end of Q1, down by 11 at the half and end of Q3, and win by 1! Every single one of our possession in the 2H was a touchdown. Freakin ridiculous!

It would have been so easy for the team to be shell-shocked by WSU's offense, especially in Q3, but the team grinded it out. Also the D didn't give up either and stepped up with a key 3 and out to start Q4 and kept up the good fight.

Go Bears!

This. By far the best part of this team for me is the never-give-up desire that has infected the players to keep it going, struggling, and fighting. Sure, criticize the D or whatever, but the players are inspired and so should we congratulate them for that alone! Keep fighting boys!

The may still be getting burned on long passes, but you don't see any "quit" in these guys at all!
