Some places like Fla State wouldn't have suspended him the entire year. Most schools would have done exactly what OU did, out one year and back if no other issues/incidents.

Exactly what Drew did was far less worse. He wasn't able to stay with the team, he isn't back yet, and he missed all last year from the team with his suspension. When he comes back he will be punished much for than Mixon who did something far worse

IMO Sonny would not have tried to reinstate Mixon under the circumstances. Cal FB players and the coach are under too much of a public spotlight at the moment.

Hey we're courting Dominic Artis. There is a balancing act of: second chances, help to one's program v. being completely hard line and intolerant. Heck, I am sure some in the Cal community probably think it's morally reprehensible that DD is coming back. I know it's different, but to some it's not.
