I learned the name of our long snapper this morning: Brad Northnagel. He's a junior out of Junipero Serra. His experience is listed as "SQ" on the roster, not sure what that means.

Anyway, he's been perfect this year. Nice job, Brad!

SQ = Squad. Designation for non-letter winning guys who aren't RSing.

What does a player need to do to earn a letter? Thanks,

Who was allegedly bashing Morris for being too short? 6 feet isn't short for a running back? Also just who was allegedly bashing him for being a walk on????

The usual neeners. If you search, you'll find their spewing.
Great kid, very moving story, and he picked Cal because he's an excellent student and values the Berkeley degree.

Obviously the coaches are using his FB experience, not his DT experience, as he was a very capable FB.
I'm hoping we'll get to see him carry and catch the ball but, as a blocker, he's doing well.
Good balance and footwork, helped greatly by his shotput/discus technique.

LOL I think it would be hard to find posts disparaging McMorris for his height as he's a walk-on, not scholarship player. Dykes himself said he was very glad nobody else offered so that Cal could get a steal

if anything, Mcmorris' recruitment and commitment drew some of the biggest shows of support, esp as he's a 2-sport athlete with great grades, and a tough couple of years--really easy to root for

According to the NCAA stats, Jeffrey Coprich is amongst the leaders in the nation in forced fumbles.http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/individual/37
He's the only one on the first page that does not play defense.
That makes him an unsung hero in my book.
