great effort by the D, clearly improved from last year, but much improvement still to go. Offense today, not so much. WR crew had a tough game. Franklin is going to need to figure out his 2nd half adjustments, getting outscored in the 2nd half will never end well.

I'm impressed with the way our defense competed. Still not ready to say it's a good or even average defense but they played hard snap to whistle. The only reason this wasn't a blowout was because we lost the LOS on offense in short yardage plays.

Love from Nick A on the post game and he is precisely right. We put up 30 on a good husky defense (and which is the kind of Defense that should give the bearraid problems - ones with good safeties that can tackle in space. unlike first three we didn't get a lot of YAC on those short slants and curls.

The fumble return for a TD was a huge swing and does not show up in the stats. Likely we were going to get points on that drive, instead it's 7 for them. That's a 10 or 14 point difference to the final margin.

SDSU lost by 16 to a not very good Penn St, premature to assume they will have a winning record.
Still it's nice to beat teams with losing records instead of losing to them.
