Qualls was having a hard time on those last two plays. This is where the speed of play and conditioning can be a benefit.

Yeah everyone is complaining about all the running we are doing, but not realizing how good their pass D has been. Other than the goal line and the weird sweep, I think the play calling has been ok.

A lot of the short yardage calls have been poor in my opinion. Tony Franklin just doesn't seem to have anything other than "run up the middle" or "back shoulder fade"

Maybe the coaches don't trust the kickoff coverage. Washington hasn't been all that successfull this season on kickoff returns.
