Even if you have possession with a foot down you have to maintain possession even if you're out of bounds

Usually you need three steps or something for it to count as maintaining possessions. Doesn't matter if the last two steps are it of bounds, you still need to do it.

Re: The catch, in the NFL there's that whole ridiculous "complete the process of the catch" rule, even on TDs (e.g. Chad Johnson a few years ago, Dez Bryant, etc.). Is a there similar rule in CFB?

tbh I thought Goff was NFL ready at the start of the year..but he's not very consistent, he could use another year..i'm just not sure being here benefits him.

No he doesnt. He just can't look good. He makes the same bad throws every game. Against bad teams they don't have as huge an impact.

And that is why Sonny needs to go over to Tony and tell him to channel Mike Leach and throw the ball 70 times. And speed up the play calling. Just black out the run plays and call passes...quickly...all night long.
