I'm already thinking about the 2016 roster -- how does it look? Too soon?

But it was all about the QB for them. They were two very different teams with and without Adams. So Waller panning out next year is a BIG deal

Exactly. The difference with and without Adams this year was amazing. The difference between Rose Bowl contender and marginal bowl eligibility.

This is pretty much what everyone said about 2015. Oregon has well regarded players, a superior system and a community that cares about football. They'll be good.

Goff may transfer there, or Stanford, or USC, or Utah, ...

Probably very similar to Wazzu. He was the OC for Nevada so you can see tape there. I'll scout the spring and fall camps. :P Or at least Isami will.

Rolo runs a much different offense than what you see @ Wazzu, or even what you saw him forced to run over @ Nevada. Completely different animal.

I think what we will see is more of a Spread/Run & Shoot hybrid operated out of a Pistol Formation -- sort of like what you saw out of Hawaii back in 2010/2011 when he was OC, but with some added emphasis on the QB run game.

With what he has to work with personnel wise over down in Manoa, he is going to have a hard time being anywhere near as productive as he was back in 2010/2011.

Still, he's a damn good offensive coach -- just look @ the numbers they put up in 2010 -- 5,000 Yard Passer, 3 x 1,000 Yard Receivers, and a 1,200 yard Rusher.

Also, some nice random Cal related trivia -- Rolo played @ the same HS as Jared Goff (Marin Catholic), and also recruited Trevor Davis (and had him starting over @ Hawaii as a True Frosh) -- would've been nice if Trevor could've played Hawaii -- too bad he had to waste a year of eligibility playing for Old Man Chow.

here's the thing. If Sonny doesn't have a decent season next year with most of his OL returning (4/5 starters and 4/5 of the backups) and watson and khalfani emerging to cushion the intro of a new QB.....you can't say "goff's gone" you say why is your recruiting/development not panning out. If you are a "pumper" you believe in Sonny and therefore you must believe in his recruiting/development. so you must believe that we will be ok next year. At least good enough to do as we did this year. Beat the lesser lights and lose to the upper echelon. Ok. If you are a "nega" I can see that you expect a big down turn next year. which should make you happy because that will probably seal Sonny's fate (the extension notwithstanding). But y'all can't have it both ways. sonnys either doing a good job and we are gonna be at least "ok" next year or he isn't and you shouldn't be on the band wagon.

WTF?!
You expecting people to refrain from hypocrisy on this board?:p

Ah right. He ran some pistol under McMackin. I wonder if he would consider Mack back as DC. Even after June Jones left, Hawaii had a couple of good years (including winning the MWC one year). Rolo the player was fun to watch, connecting with Ashley Lelie and company, after Timmy Chang.
