Just tweeted out that he is returning for Spring Semester where he believes he will graduate (yeah!) and then be positioned to transfer to any program as a grad transfer

I am pretty much betting the farm that he will end up in Oregon, pass for 500+ against us, and create a whisky shortage in the Bay Area that week ;-)

Good for Zach. Explored the opportunities; and things didn't materialize. And, he can still get a Cal degree.

I had heard about this possibility a couple months back and I'm so happy to see it materialize for him...

Don't be surprised to see him try-out for the baseball team.

Good for him. Doesn't his girlfriend go to Cal as well?

The fact that he was able to reapply and get readmitted (and w/o football) shows he truly has a head on his shoulders. No idea what happened at ISU other than seeing some not so stellar stat lines from all their QB's this year.

But best of luck to Zach now and in the future.

I was not one of those who was advocating Kline over Goff. However, if you couldn't understand why people were fond of Kline (as well as Treggs, Avery, etc.) in the aftermath Toshgate, you weren't paying attention. Just like some people then started choosing Kline over Cal or Goff, you are obviously choosing Dykes over Cal or Williams.

I will admit that I don't know how good our backup and incoming quarterbacks are. Assuming Goff is gone next year, if Zach is good enough to compete, what's wrong with giving him a chance?
