I guess they are paying their own way, maybe even with out of state fees? Not that it makes a big difference for NFL stars like Carter, but for players who didn't have much of an NFL career, it is a factor.

Far as I know as long as the interaction of a recruit with a former plyr/current student takes place ON campus, it is ok.

Maybe ok if the recruit is here for an unofficial visit, but not on an official visit?
But that makes it very tough for recruits from out of the area/state.

Someone who has more definitive info, pls post.
