I am looking to compare cable TV and internet providers in Manhattan NYC. Can someone help me out? Only Time Warner has Pac-12 Network, but what if I don't need it? Might just go to a bar to watch Cal games.

I am considering cost, customer service, reliability.

RCN seems like it is cheaper then the other two?

I've only ever had TWC. It's expensive but I get all the Pac 12 channels in HD with the sports package. I also have HBO, Showtime and Cinemax though. I hardly watch tv except for a few HBO and showtime shows and sports, so I'm wasting a huge amount of $, ~$200/month (including Internet). If it weren't for the Pac 12 channel, I'd cut the cord.

If you just call them you can get it at least down to 150 with the same package

I looked into RCN when I first moved to New York, and yes it's cheaper, but everyone I know who had/has it said the service is beyond crappy. Anecdotal so take it with a grain of salt .
