At what point do you start to think Cal is allowing too many points?

Here's my breakdown:
less than 10 points= very happy
1 TD + 2 FGs = Happy
2 TDs and/or 2 FGs(up to 17 points)= OK
2 TDs and/or more than 2 FGs (up to 23 points)= I can live with it

23 points is my over/under for the defense.
However, if Hawaii scores because of Cal TOs or bad ST play that is different.

I will really be alarmed if Hawaii scores more than 27/28 points overall.

What say you?

I would like to see Cal at least in the 40s.

I'm happy with under 35 and no more injuries or transfers.

Kinda depends when and how much/how quickly we score. I'd like to keep it below 20. I hope it's somewhere 13 and lower.

Don't care if it's a blow out and they pile up points in the second half

It kind of depends on how they score, if Cal's first string defense allows more than 2 touch downs on drives of 50+ yards, and another two field goals off 30+ yard drives, then I'll be a little worried. But if Cal is up 45-10 midway through the fourth and Hawaii scores two late touchdowns to make it 45-24 I don't really care.

It depends on how well our offense controls the ball. If the offense is doing poorly (or too well) and the defense is constantly on the field, I will understand some points being scored, especially in the last quarter.

I'd accept 52-25, 48-24, even 55-28, Bears, but not into the 30s even if it is garbage time.

I think the conversation will be about how GOOD the defense was against Hawaii, not how bad they are...

The first string D needs to control play -- no more than 21 points if they have to play the whole game. No more than 14 for the first string if it's a rout and they only play half of the game.

shouldn't be above 10-14 points before we clear our bench. even then, I don't think Hawaii should put up more than 17 tops

Clay and Beasy have it right. It depends on the situation. If walk-ons are playing (they got to go on the trip) in the 4th quarter, the total points may be irrelevant. It's what the 1st team does that counts.

Anything under 40. Our offense is going to be amazing this year!

11-21 Acceptable

Anything more than 21 points and I'd be concerned. Hawaii had one of the worst offenses in the country last season, averaging about 17 pts a game. Rolovich will likely bring a bit more to the table to give our defense fits early on, but anything more than 3 touchdowns would be concerning given the teams talent level.

Reportedly Spav wants to go faster than we did last year. I think 90 per game is a realistic goal.

Our offense's charge is to score, score, and score some more ... It is their defensive job to stop us
