ESPN has been close to unwatchable since they sold their soul to the SEC.

I can't stand the gossip stories. I'd much rather tolerate SEC kool-aid than features about Ryan Lochte and Hope Solo's antics outside of their sports and whether or not they should be forgiven. I blame Skip Bayless for turning the network into garbage.

Too many commercials too.

I know they were using the Fox Australia feed for the game, but it would have been nice to see more of the Cal fans, cheerleaders there. Towards the end of the game they did show more but, in the meantime, we kept getting the Hawaii band and cheerleaders.

Funny. It struck me that there were way fewer commercials - seemed like they were often going straight from kickoff to the drive instead of the usual PAT/commercial/kickoff/commercial/series crap. I figured it was to keep the Aussies in attendance interested. Remember, word is they paid Cal so much to play this game as a dry run to bring NFL games there. They need to build an audience and frankly the way football games are currently broadcast is not going to attract anyone.

Maybe my perception of the commercials is wrong (i was forced to watch on my laptop a couple hours late due to family emergency)

I agree with all who said the announcing team was awful - unprepared and disinterested. Belotti was especially bad - one comment I found galling was him wondering aloud if Cal was giving up yards in the second half because we might have had backups in but he wasn't sure if we had backups in or not. Way to get a depth chart and spend two minutes on it, dip sh-t.
