I'm just more negative that the average fan at this point. I almost don't care if we win. This feels completely like a loss. We are going into OT against a BAD team. Even if we win the rest of this year is going to be UGLY IMO.

Ok, can someone convince me why field position was so valuable that we didn't try the onside kick when we got to within three points with 2:41 to go? Even if Cal doesn't recover it, our defense still would need the three-and-out (which is no different than what your defense has to do if you kick off). Granted in that case Cal would get the ball back with poorer field position, but I am willing to gamble on the low percentage chance of recovering the onside kick in good field position over the low percentage chance of our defense holding for a three-and-out and getting a good punt return (note that it worked out for us this time, but I still am not convinced that it is the right move). Someone please convince me that I am wrong.
