Hmm, we get one of our best recruits of the year without even having a head coach.
If that's the case I imagine the new coach is not going to honor the quasi commitment of Marquese Taylor..... since he does appear to be the lowest ranked CB recruit (of many that we already have)..... doesn't make sense to take 6+ CB/S 2 classes in a row.
It is the eternal optimist in me that makes me think there could be something big in the works...the practical side knows that in this day and age, there are no secrets that stay hidden this long.

i thought we took him as a WR. either way, i would expect the next HC to take another look at Taylor and Hardimon..esp when we have such limited numbers, they may want to give out their own last second offers. not saying they will necessarily pull the offers, but suggest they...part ways.

Hardimon's tape looks really good. He has a home at Berkeley IMO
There was a question whether Taylor'/ offer was even legitimate or not.

you mean his senior tape? i figured hicks & godfrey would be the top 2 by far, and then depending if we want to make more safety fliers, we'll reassess taylor/hardimon.
obviously guessing here, esp since we don't know if Burns will even be kept on, and what kind of DC/staff we get.

First recruiting impact of Dykes getting fired is a 4-star defensive player flips to Cal. I'm so looking forward to fielding a Pac 12 defense again.
This was in the works long before that

Explain this to us, Moraga? How does someone commit to a program without a HC to make offers? EDIT: Or for that matter, a DC.

How does the process actually work in this situation. I get he was offered some time ago but does Spav (as interim HC) have the authority to commit the school's money or does that revert to the AD in this case?
Yes, he does and will.
besides being a stud football player, he played corner, wr and returned kicks, he is a remarkable young man who overcame a lot to get to where he is.
Did he ever visit? Looks like he didn't...
