Love Cal's 2nd half's - trailing all three games this year and coming back to dominate 2nd half. Kudos to the coaches for bringing a tough mentality to the players. I thinkk we're building something here.

And yet, you carry on with the absurd hyperbole. Maybe learn from your past?Uthaithani said:LunchTime said:Haters gonna backtrack...Uthaithani said:BearNIt said:
Great adjustments made by the Cal coaches.
Amazing adjustments on D. Offense and ST need work. Enjoy this - not often a PAC 12 defense pushes around an SEC team like that.
Of course I will. Did you miss my crow post a couple weeks back? I'm very happy to be wrong and have Cal win. I get zero satisfaction from being right on this board.
I think he can't go pro until junior year since he didn't redshirtblungld said:
What a gritty game by both teams. Hope Patterson goes pro before next year. They are going to win some games this year...and so are we. We've got some real heart on this team and Bowers is tough and getting better.
And UCLA loses!UrsusTexicanus said:
Glorious day!!! Cal wins, Furd loses, if only Texas had held up their end of the bargain . . . well, can't have everything.
Go Bears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It does, but it helps if you actually are the toughest team01Bear said:clipman said:

Good thing Cal has been a second half team this season
Only down 9 .... Go Bears!!!!!
I admit I was VERY worried after the first 2 Old Miss TD's but you could see by the end of the second Q something that the staff had picked up which made a huge different - that the Rebels couldn't sustain and would get worn down. That was such the difference by the 4Q. Hugecalgldnbear said:calgldnbear said:

I will quote myself ... I wasn't worried and ALWAYS kept the faith

LOL, and who are you...?
As far as the offense not being good the past two games against less-than-stellar defenses, that's a concern. Wins are great, this win did nothing to alleviate my doubts about this offense. That's to say nothing of the missed FGs.
Welcome to BI, LunchTime!
Thanks for stopping by and good luck the rest of the way. Have you ever tried Wild Turkey and Dr. Pepper by chance?Opel Gt Rebel said:

It's a problem they definitely need to address this week.BearSD said:
Second week in a row that Bowers commits a back-breaking turnover inside the opponent's 10 just before the half.

My sample size was too small to know for sure... but thanks to Ole Miss, I know it for sure: I love beating down SEC teams at home.
Great game. Great coaching. Breakdowns in man on man a few time being the only weakness, and settled that down nicely. Amazing that we have such a strong D after so long without. Never thought it would be such a massive turnaround so quickly.
Best part is three games watching Cal get stronger as the game goes on. Like the old Tedford days. I FELT the win coming rather than waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Your halftime wish came true, congratulations!tim94501 said:

Refreshing is an appropriate word in many respects.sketchy9 said:
It's SOOO refreshing to see a team that makes adjustments as the game goes on. We've trailed every game so far at halftime, and we've come out in the second half and won. That means that not only do the coaches make changes, but the players have the mental fortitude to understand that the game is 60 minutes long and that they need to keep competing. I can't give enough accolades to the coaching staff and the players for their mindset and execution. Kudos to the Golden Bear team-- you do us all proud.
Me, too. It's like we're recovering from PTSD.01Bear said:...LunchTime said:

also, the dykes regime seriously screwed with my mind...i kept waiting for cal to coug it and lose the game in the end...even after the last ole miss turnover on downs, in the back of my mind i worried that cal would somehow fumble the snap and the rebels would pick it up and run it in, then recover an onside kick, and score on a hail mary to end the game...

Good game , you won. Too bad some of the posters here are jerks. But surprisingly most of you weren't. I certainly expected most of you people to be less than gracious.
