Not sure this will go through, but the state assembly passed it and it goes to the senate.

Pretty sure most Cal fans won't be partaking in 4am last call, but the younger demographic certainly will have one more reasons to skip the early games.

More time to celebrate after those late night games... though it appears to be a trial for 9 cities including Oakland and SF, but not Berkeley for now I believe. I'd think BART would have to run later on weekends for 4am to work smoothly.

Will be great for Lyft/Uber in CA. Even in NYC, I rarely (never?) take the subway after a night out from BK to Manhattan.

Are you kidding? Given that BART stops at 12:30am, it never ran smoothly for bars closing at 2am. 4am will make no difference.

BART couldn't care less about inconveniencing its customers...

plus 1. But the still advertise. Instead of fixing the gates now they are going to do a six month survey. By the time they figure a way to keep the creeps out ridership on weekends will be non existant.

Gee, that seems to be a sure cure for Oakland's after hours gun battle scene.
