Causeway Classic relocated to Mackay Stadium in Reno, Nevada

"Due to uncertainty regarding air quality in Davis on Saturday, this year's Causeway Classic football game between UC Davis and Sacramento State will relocate to Mackay Stadium, located on campus at the University of Nevada, Reno."

The Aggies need to play the game this weekend due to FCS playoff seeding.

From airnow.gov:
AQI Forecast for Davis Today: 169 (Unhealthy)
AQI Actual Reading Right now in Davis: 206 (Very Unhealthy)
AQI Forecast for Davis Tomorrow: 89 (Moderate)

So it seems like UC Davis is not trusting the forecasts available to the general public online (or maybe they have access to more detailed data) and is relocating the game out of an abundance of caution. And I can see why, over the past few days, the actual AQI seems to constantly have been higher than what has been forecast.

Would like to think Cal cares as much about its players and fans as much as UC Davis does.

Good that they were able to manage that on short notice. I was wondering if Corvallis (OSU is away this weekend) might be a last minute option, but IMHO postponement would be preferable.
