Yeah. The CFP title game was a success at Levi's. The P12 title game was a failure. I think that is more an indictment of the P12 than Levi's.wifeisafurd said:

Yep. Levi's is the worst stadium in the NFL, and certainly the ugliest from the outside. I'm not counting the Oakland Coliseum, because it's essentially done as a pro football venue.BearSD said:
Good riddance. Anywhere is better than the lousy 49ers stadium.
That would require Cal playing in the title game next year because starting in 2020 it will be in Vegas. Hence, it will not be happening. Have you seen our offensive coaching staff/returning talent? This cycle will pass, just like all the other iterations of the conference/bowl system that have passed Cal by without any success.ColoradoBear said:
Can Cal play at least once in Levis stadium for the p12 title game? That little thing is all i ask for...
BTW, there is no traffic in Santa Clara on a Saturday.
There's a f-ton of traffic in LA on a Friday.
The stadium will be on the west side of I-15, with Mandalay Bay opposite to it on the east side of the freeway.GoldenB said:

Yes we need Fyght4Cal as our alumni hype man in LA. He gives xultaif a run for his money, with more smack talk. I loved how he got under the SC DJ's skin at the Lyon Center for the Cal/SC game.Fyght4Cal said:
My heart says Vegas, but my head says LA. Cal in the P12 CG in LA would be so sweet. With so many alums in LA, and so many within driving distance, it would practically be a home game against any non-LA team.
Plus, in three years there will be two major light rail lines near LA Stadium. The new Crenshaw Line will stop about a mile away on the north. Added with the existing Green Line south of the stadium, getting to the game will be a little easier.
Of course, the fact that I live in LA is the most compelling reason. Can't beat staying at home and traveling a few miles. Helps save $ for the bowl game.
While LA/SoCal is home, I would gladly make the short drive to Vegas when Cal is in the CG.KoreAmBear said:Yes we need Fyght4Cal as our alumni hype man in LA. LOL. Thanks KAB. DJ Mal-Ski, the SC DJ, and I have had this act going for about 4 years now. We go at it at both in Men's and Women's. It's a kick. We both give as good as we get.KoreAmBear said:Yes we need Fyght4Cal as our alumni hype man in LA. He gives xultaif a run for his money, with more smack talk. I was in vegas last weekend and drove by it in the rideshare to the airport. Its essentially at the end of the strip across from the Mandalay Bay, and a few blocks from the airport. The taxi driver was quite bitter the major casinos weren't chipping in to pay for the construction as they were the ones that wanted it.GoldenB said:

They'll be pushing and shoving and throwing punches on that walkway... it'll be just like they were still in Oakland on the walkway between the stadium and BART.Bobodeluxe said:

1.5 miles? I usually walk farther than that to get to Memorial Stadium. I'd walk a lot farther than that to get to see Cal in the Pac-12 championship game. Unless the 1.5 ride is cheap, easy, and traffic free, may as well walk.ColoradoBear said:wifeisafurd said:Your deriver may be even more bitter - told there will be a walk-way from the airport directly to the stadium.golden sloth said:I was in vegas last weekend and drove by it in the rideshare to the airport. How's that going to work exactly? It probably 1.5 miles from the stadium to the airport terminal.
Probably whomever you heard this from meant a walkway across the 15 to the Mandalay/LV Blvd.
You'd walk 1.5 miles with luggage from the airport? And put your luggage where when you get there? What's the average high in September?Cal8285 said:1.5 miles? Come on now, use some common sense - no way a walkway from the LV airport is happening, especially since you'd have to tunnel under the runways between the stadium and terminal.
You may want to start training now; you know, just in case.Cal8285 said:But I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more, just to be the man who walks a thousand miles to see the Bears win the Pac-12 championship.ColoradoBear said:You'd walk 1.5 miles with luggage from the airport? Saw the construction last week. The only way anyone is "walking" there from the airport is if they have bionic legs, the ability to dematerialize and pass through casinos (there are a few between the stadium and airport) and they can hop over I15 like they are playing Frogger on meth. Probably about a 10-15 minute walk from the Mandalay Bay to the stadium (assuming they build a causeway so no meth is required to get over I15).ColoradoBear said:You'd walk 1.5 miles with luggage from the airport? OK, I'm working on it. I'm targeting December 2020 to be ready for 1000 miles, but don't take that as pessimism about 2019, since even if we make 2019, it won't be that long a walk to Santa Clara.Fyght4Cal said:You may want to start training now; you know, just in case.Cal8285 said:But I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more, just to be the man who walks a thousand miles to see the Bears win the Pac-12 championship.ColoradoBear said:You'd walk 1.5 miles with luggage from the airport? If Cal PLAYED in one, it would mean we won the Pac-12 North. I will be happy if the program can get to that point. If Cal wins, yes, better, although I doubt it will mean a Rose Bowl.Big C said:

I have this nagging feeling that if we ever win the conference championship, it will be a year when the Rose Bowl is in the playoff rotation, and The Bears don't make the playoff, or it will be a year when the Rose Bowl isn't in the playoff rotation and the Bears make the playoff. After 60 years, however, I'll take a conference championship whether it means the Rose Bowl or not.
