Yes but the guy he threw it to would also have appeared open. The defender that picked it came off another receiver to come back and undercut the throw.dajo9 said:

You don't go to your third or fourth option on that play. Sorry, no good QB would dump it on that play. It was a great defensive play, not a bad throw or decision.
