Best part, winning at Furd...then Cal fans storming the field, which is way too dignified for Furders but damn, have some dumb fun, live a little. Go Bears!

Yes! And great to see Remigio come up big toward the end also! Supreme Happiness!!!
Remiggio and Crawford back next year.
The only RB we lose is Alex Netherda

Pretty good quote from Shaw ... Garbers has only lost one game he has started. Would love to see a new OC and a better offense but perhaps Garbers is the real deal. Give him some better surrounding play next year and see what happens.
Edit: not sure Shaw is right about his stat.
Garbers started in our losses to ASU and USC. This is his 2nd PAC-12 win this year, maybe if you alter it to "games Garbers played every snap"?
They don't. Stanford is not a good team right now.heartofthebear said:mvargus said:The only senior WR is Jordan Duncan. We'll get everyone else back.calumnus said:kirklandblue said:heartofthebear said:

Hard to believe but the offense may well be better than the defense next year, perfect time to attract a new OC.
LOL, then all the Baldwin apologists can claim that Cal just didn't have enough health/talent on offense.
It looked like a sure face mask from where I was, but I am told that the replay just exposed Mills as a weak runner, falling from a nothing hit.LACalFan said:Must have been a Furd reporter asking that question ... is there such a thing?socaltownie said:

Boy, he is pretty quick...and he has courage because his injuries have not made him skittish. An admirable young man.

If it is the play I'm thinking of he grabbed the upper jersey and his arm scraped across the mask making it look like a face mask, but it wasn't.sycasey said:Bobodeluxe said:It looked like a sure face mask from where I was, but I am told that the replay just exposed Mills as a weak runner, falling from a nothing hit.LACalFan said:Must have been a Furd reporter asking that question ... is there such a thing?socaltownie said:

His hand was close to the facemask, but on replay looks like he never actually grabbed it.

If things break a certain way there may only be 5 bowl eligibility teams. We could find ourselves in a fairly solid bowl.IdahoBear said:

The offense should be a lot better than it was this season.heartofthebear said:mvargus said:The only senior WR is Jordan Duncan. We'll get everyone else back.calumnus said:kirklandblue said:heartofthebear said:

I didn't seem them actually "drop" the axe. The two Rally Comm members in the middle of that protective formation tripped (probably because the circle around them got too close.) They recovered quickly though.TheSouseFamily said:
Rally Comm BROUGHT IT! First of all, they dominated the stare-down. Wasn't even competitive. And once taking possession of the Axe, the protective formations were very impressive. You could tell they had done a lot of practice and gotten in some reps. Sure, they dropped it at one point but they maintained the formation and got it going again in no time. Hats off the Rally Comm.

mvargus said:The Pac-12 network had an interesting point. In games where Chase Garbers started and played the whole game Cal was 4-0 (now 5-0) When he was injured at some point Cal was just 1-5.CALiforniALUM said:
Wilcox just announced that Baldwin is coming back.
Fingers crossed.
It's easy to blame Baldwin, but the injury bug did have a huge impact. Cal also had 3 different QBs start a game this season. USC is the same, but they had the all around talent to avoid complete catastrophy due to that and have an 8-4 record. Stanford can't do better than 4-6 with their 3 different starters. It does make a huge difference.
So while I do think Baldwin makes some bad play calls, I also think we never saw him at his best this season due to the OL and QB injuries that really did have a huge impact.
HAHA. **** you.m2bear said:
Game over.
See ya next year. Maybe Baldwin will have improved with a move from Wilcox to the RB's coach.
