To the vast majority of Cal alumni and the Grid Club, Stanford is the team that is most important for us to beat. Stanford had one of the top 10 winningest programs coming into this season over the past decade.
This win is huge in many respects - bowling (though a lower tier bowl, its still an accomplishment), recruiting (the vision of the upswing is real), Coaching staff and players who have made tremendous sacrifices and growth over the past couple of seasons. Offense will be much better next season and the defense should be good.
