Iowa has that stout defense but it's hard to see them overcome USC's talent on offense. Spread is USC +2.

Many USC fans are rooting for Iowa to beat USC so that they can get Helton fired sooner rather than later. I am with them (but, for different reasons, of course)!

U$C should win especially with a Southern California based crowd but who knows if they are going to be "up" for this game at all

A very nice game to kill time before the much anticipated Cheez Bowl on ESPN.
The first two Iowa drives make it look like USC has gone full Air Raid. And I don't mean that in a good way...well, a good way for us.

USC fans are flat out spoiled brat idiots.
Go look up Pete Carroll's wiki page and read up on all of the flack Pete Carroll got from USC fans when he was first hired. It is off the charts.
USC fans have no patience.
They want big names with long track records.
They are spoiled brats.
Helton is about as good as they can do right now.
So far the Iowa play calling has been very interesting and effective.
I hope we get an OC that can run an offense similar to how the Iowa OC is running his offense for the bowl game: It seems like it is a good balance of run and pass and some imagination thrown in. It looks a bit like the SF offense.

I was thinking the exact same thing. No reason we can't do what Iowa is doing to sc
Maybe we won't ever be quite as good on the lines as Iowa, but I feel we can be slightly more athletic than them at the skilled positions.
Man SC has a chance to be scary good next year if they get their S together. Slovis is a beast
yeah, I didn't think about the OL, but our OL could make a big jump next season. I still think we can run outside, do some misdirection and some quick passes for 5-10. We should certainly have a good enough OL come 2021. And we should still have most of the rest of the offense at that time. All three were assistants at their schools before being named head coach. All three are in the CFP.

SC's defense looks really slow. I haven't seen that in a long time
Hiring Helton to begin with, and then sticking with him through the last few years is inexplicable. Lack of direction and leadership from admin, nobody can pull the trigger.
USC can do better than Helton, and they should.

They'll kill ****ty teams and lose to some good ones in exactly the fashion they will tonight. And I expect them to comeback against Iowa but lose. I hate the Air Raid for teams that can out recruit everyone and therefore out physical everyone. They are giving up their greatest advantage: being able to maul teams.

I find it hard to believe Clancy has lasted so long at SC.
Refresh my memory but are you the dude that would rather Stanford win the national championship before you ever rooted for USC because of some cheap shot SC took against Cal way back?
