Each passing day it is becoming more and more unlikely there will be football in the fall and the other sports.

If it were me and the NCAA, I'd get a little more aggressive and get conferences to fall in line by putting forth a 7 to 8 game conference schedule that allows a high number of buys each week. Games would be your division first and they the other division as needed to fill the schedule. Conference championship are still allowed. Consider pushing the season start date back to mid-September and finish the season 1-2 weeks later than usual. Tell the conferences if you don't do it, you are not eligible for the playoffs and/or bowl games.

I can almost predict the NFL season will start later and the Super Bowl possibly pushed back as well.

Just do it, it gives coaches, players, schools more certainty to plan for and puts everyone on a level field (except the non-P5 leagues) and the same planing process.
