The official new roster is up -  2020 Fall Camp Roster from Cal and Bear Insider’s is here

Look for Bear Insider’s roster to be updated very shortly.

Weights for the players have NOT been updated.

Some quick notes:

DEPARTURES (Since the Spring Roster was published):  Bold are scholarship players

  • Tevin Paul - DE/OLB
  • Henry Bazakas - OT
  • Jeremiah Hawkins - WR
  • Isaiah Humphries - Safety
  • Gabe Cherry - DE
  • DeShawn Collins - RB
  • Cal Frank - OT
  • Steve McIntosh - Safety
  • Miles Owens - Nose Guard
  • Tommy Vanis - ILB
  • Ben Moos - OLB

ADDITIONS:

  • 26 New Scholarship Players including grad transfer RB, Bradrick Shaw
  • Highly touted TE recruit DJ Rogers is not on the team
  • A new surprise recruit in 3 star RB, Ashton Stredick who eschewed Princeton in favor of Cal
  • 12 new preferred walk-ons including potential starting Placekicker, Ronan Donnelly

OTHER NOTES:

  • There are 19 Offensive Lineman on the roster

  • Only Nine Defensive Lineman and only two are upperclassmen

  • Two Fullbacks now on the roster

  • No position switches (Yet)

Are you sure these are all "Departures"?

Could some of them be 1-season Covidian Opt-Outs?

A couple are opt outs. Opting out doesn't guarantee they'll return, though.

The Tevin Paul departure seems like the big story, but the lack of numbers on the DL is a HUGE worry.

Collins was our most dynamic/productive RB at 5.2 ypc (on only 38 carries).

I doubt we'll ever see Owens, Collins, and (and sadly) Hawkins in a Cal uniform again.
