The lack of preparation for the specific opponent is really interesting. Scouting and preparing for the opponent is such a big part of football. Obviously, there is no advantage here, as both teams just learned of their opponent with two days notice. Should be interesting (pending further Covid developments for both teams).

All this said, I'm happy that both teams and the P12 have been nimble enough to go with this alternative.
They've never seen our offense.

But then, we've never seen our Offense either.

https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2020-11-14/california-coronavirus-surge-worsens-prompting-new-pleas-to-avoid-travel

> The move comes amid ominous new signs that California is in the midst of a major new outbreak. Weekly coronavirus cases have doubled in just the last month, from nearly 23,000 cases a week a month ago to almost 48,000 in the seven-day period that ended Thursday, according to a Los Angeles Times analysis.

> Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties have seen their combined weekly cases shoot up from about 13,000 to 26,000 over the last month. San Diego County saw its weekly cases rise from about 2,000 to 3,700 over the same time period. The county set a record this week with its highest single-day number of confirmed cases reported: 661.

anyways, be careful out there

Super happy they pulled this off. Must be tough on coaches and players to suddenly throw w out the game plan they've been practicing for to a whole new team. This will come down to better planning and coaching

If given the choice between a 7:30 pm Saturday kickoff and a 9 am Sunday kickoff, I'd choose the latter.

It's gonna be fun tomorrow watching NFL Red Zone on one screen, Tom Brady on another, The Masters on another and Cal football on another.

Easier win then asu. Good news. Good time.
Easier opponent to play against, at least. Wins in football are never a sure thing. The ball is not round, and takes unpredictable bounces at times. And even a mediocre or pathetic defender with one hit can take take your best player out for the game and maybe the rest of the season.

I don't like the time at all. It means fewer Cal fans will be able to attend church services and pray for our Bears, and every game every season, we need all the help we can get.
