I'm guessing this was dreamed up by Oregon State alums. Fifty years ago last week, the Oregon State Highway Division attempted to dispose of a dead whale on a beach with explosives. Hilarity ensued as they nearly put it into orbit. It was like a Monty Python skit come to life.

Can we use this technique to remove another unwanted, hazardous, bloated, and brain-dead mammal from public property?
