Bears up 6-5 at the first media TO. Kelly has four points and Foreman has three boards, including one offensive board that led to a Kelly dunk. Colorado shooting 29% from the field. Bears with two turnovers. Need to try to limit those like UW and Wazzu games.

Bears hanging in, down just 8-9 at the second media TO. Colorado's Wright has yet to attempt a shot. But Grant just picked up his second foul.

I have to ask. My P12N via Sling is always a very poor quality picture. Not HD, lots of pixelation, latency issues. Dont see this on any other network. Anyone else have pic quality issues unique to P12N?

Foreman going off and is leading Cal with 10 points. Cal on a 10-0 run to go up 18-11 on the Buffs.

Cal is doing everything you look for for an upset on the road so far. They're shooting 53% and only have three turnovers, while forcing three Colorado turnovers and holding the Buffs to just 30% shooting.

Grant has shown some nice new moves
Patience is a virtue, but I’m not into virtue signaling these days.

Colorado counters with an 8-0 run of their own to retake the lead 19-18 at the next media TO.

Bears down 24-20 at the final media TO of the half. Buffs on a 13-2 run as Cal has started to turn it over more over the past few minutes. Now up to six turnovers on the half but still shooting 45% from the field. Colorado's Walker seems to have picked up where he left off from the Utah game and leads all scorers with 12 points.

In the past few weeks the app on my applevtv has had some problems.
1. When i click exit it dies not go back to pac 12 menu but apple main menu. No other app does this. I have to force close the app using apple tv remote.

2. When it goes that pac 12 mountain scene playing that awful music, it sometimes does not go back to live action.
3. Games often do not appear as whats available next.

Have complained to pac 12 and gotten no response. That app seems to be developing problems over the past few weeks.

The picture is always hd with few latency problems.

Down 32-20 under 2mins in first half. This one could be getting away earlier than usual.

Not the way you want to end a half. Colorado is good at forcing non-steal turnovers. For the first 10 minutes, Cal only had three turnovers and went up 18-11. Then the Bears scored just five points over the last 10 minutes and turned it over six times. Gotta be smarter with the ball.

Cal running no discernible offense other than the occasional on ball screen scores 23 points in the first half.

I agree Sluggp but I think Colorado has better defenders than Cal has offensive players. They are trying to get the ball inside but Colorado's defense is doing a good job of preventing that and If it's Lars he is going to fumble it away most times anyway. I really like Celestine but he needs work on defense. He was late on his defensive rotations 3 different times that resulted in 3 made 3's by Colorado. Good to see Fox fired up on the sidelines as it appeared that Joel Brown was not running the offense or what passes as Fox's offense. I think that we will be a decent team before the end of the year. Go Bears.

can we get a 6-8 freshmen like Walker? hitting shots from all over the court

fox had a big message for his PG Brown during that time out

nice block by Lars

we need to hit our 3 pointers to win this one and get the ball to Kelly inside

I always think we need a 6-7 point lead with 5 minutes remaining to beat Colorado because McKinley always just throws out the play book and goes wild when they are behind at end of games ... right now that looks unlikely due to their end of first half burst

I don't know how colorado is rated on defense, but to me they look like one of the better defensive teams in the pac

The painful thing is Cal was in Walker's final three (with St. Mary's and Colorado).

Very high. Like No. 18 in the country according to KenPom. But their conference-only defense is only No. 7 in the league so far this year.

I am a bit frustrated with Hyder's play so far this year. Perhaps I was expecting a more complete player who could actually make a decent percentage of his shots and set up other people for theirs.

Big miss

How many different Colorado players have hit a 3

Klonaras hit a nice clock beating 3 but this game is over

Sign of a mature college player. Only three points on four shot attempts but 11 ASSISTS. He's making his team better.

Here is the McKinley burst I was talking about... just seems to score in buckets when he wants to

Nothing flashy but he certainly has the floater down to a science

Bradley are you watching that?

Seems like he is more of an off ball player, but Cal only really has Brown who you want on the ball. Need to recruit someone else.

I'd like to see more of Celestine at this point.
Bowser should not be on the floor over him.

Yep. Right after I posted that, he did that burst. I think he realized he could get a double-double with points and assists.

Are you confusing Bowser and Hyder? Bowser has barely played, while Celestine has played a lot. Celestine has the shot if he can be set up better. Bowser may need another year or two to develop his skills.

Colorado has better players, but that has nothing to do with playing properly. Cal needs to have superior players, not just even players, to make up for poor offensive coaching.

I hate to see the style in which Fox yells at his players. Not because they can't take it, but more that he comes off as unlikeable. I don't think that is good for recruiting, either for getting new players or for keeping the players he has.
tthompson993
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I get that you don't respect Fox's coaching ability and I agree that he is not a good offensive coach. However, as I said in an earlier post, I have two friends who were at Georgia when Fox was there and they don't share your feelings. They felt Fox was a good coach who lacked somewhat as a recruiter. I think that this team is limited in athletic ability and they don't get how to set screens which you attribute solely to Fox's coaching and I feel falls just as much on the players lack of quickness and awareness. They should have learned how to set screens for shooters in high school. I know that I did..

Wait, so Cal just played a basketball game at 11 AM on a weekday?!? Missed another one! Who would even think to look for that? The tip-off time is listed as "TBA" on the BI schedule. The world is topsy-turvy. Is there any wonder there is so little interest?
