GL to Marks dealing with Kyrie. Add in Harden and Nets are going to boil over. Durant alone can get them to the playoffs but those other two stars are not all-in.
Yeah, who knows? But I'd say the Harden that KD knew in OKC was a much different player than the one he is now. This will be a fascinating experiment that could make or break Sean's GM stint.MSaviolives said:
When I saw the Hardin trade, my first thought was that Sean had some big b*lls. That's a lot of draft picks for a ball hog, who is being added to a team with existing head cases. But KD knows Hardin well from OKC, so who knows.

Comments I've heard from "expert" commentators are that that Durant wanted Harden on the Nets. That said, I agree this looks like a very combustible mix of talent. Harden has the look of a great individual performer whose net contribution to team success is negative. Kyrie is looking ever more like a head case. Whether they ever win a title, this may be a financial success just on the basis of ticket sales if fans are ever let back into the buildings.MSaviolives said:

"Net contribution to team success is negative" lmao. Harden is a top 5 player. These are two of the best offensive players in the game, and among the greats. Harden carried the Rockets for large stretches by putting up 40 point games night after night. He came back from a month long strip club and fried chicken bender looking like a YMCA grandma and is still absolutely cooking people.59bear said:Comments I've heard from "expert" commentators are that that Durant wanted Harden on the Nets. Laugh away. Without denying Harden's individual brilliance, I am still unconvinced it translates to ultimate team success. I'll reassess when (if) he gets a ring.concernedparent said:"Net contribution to team success is negative" lmao. Harden is a top 5 player. They might implode, but because it will be because of injury, lack of depth, and being a bunch of headcases chasing each other out of town (Kyrie being the most problematic, yet the least good lol...), not because Harden was a net negative.

Yeah, seems like a lot of 2+2=47 kind of math. He was unhappy in Houston, and got out. Not sure how that figures into what happens with the Nets.concernedparent said:59bear said:Laugh away. He's been the #1 seed, he was one win away from beating a KD+Curry Warriors team. He did that with his 3rd best player being Clint Capela or Eric Gordon. Maybe MJ or Lebron win a championship in those circumstances, but nobody is comparing Harden to them.
Sure...go overseas to a league that doesn't care about vaccination. The NBA has worked hard to be leaders throughout the Pandemic, and there is no reason to stop that now because Kyrie thinks the world is flat.BearForce2 said:
